If you want to download youtube videos, this tutorial will show you how in a fast, easy way. There are no secrets, just 3 simple steps.
Step 1. Fire up firefox.
Most web-savvy visitors will have this installed, if not you can download it free from Google: or from Mozilla.
Step 2. Install the Ook? Video Ook! plugin
The ability to install free extensions or plugins is one of the best things about firefox. There are other plug-ins that help you download youtube videos but Ook? Video Ook! is best because it is the most stable one I've found.
To install click here while browsing in Firefox or visit the plugin homepage.
In case those links don't work you can click here to install.
You might have to quit and restart firefox to complete the plugin installation.
Step 3. Click to download
Just visit the YouTube site as normal,
if you come to a video you like, click this icon 
at the bottom-left of the firefox window.
The downloads will start immediately.
Once downloaded, you can play the videos with the following players (also free):
- Riva Flash Player (I use this one)
- EOLSoft Flash Movie Player
- Adobe Flash Player (also available for Linux)
